Not that I minded the misery tho, I love Boys Don't Cry and Charlotte Sometimes (only discovered a couple of years ago that it was based on the fab book by Penelope Farmer which was my favourite book aged 9 - Penelope wrote a brilliant blog post about going to see the Cure playing it!).<br />The misery song I could never stand was the Smiths' Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now. The Cure have in fact mostly been upbeat since about 1995, when Robert Smith got tired of being miserable and started to have fun gardening roses with his girlfriend.
