You know it's nearly the end of term when...

... You need an explosion to get everyone out of bed.

... Your six year old reverts to baby mode and needs help getting dressed.

... Your nearly eight year old suddenly wimps out on you and announces she needs a day off school

... and your ten year old loses her shoe (just one) five minutes before it's time to leave for school, at the same time as the six year old demands you find clips to put in her hair (what has happened to the ones you were wearing yesterday? You might well ask, but you'd be asking in vain...)

... you realise when you DO get to school you are nearly last in the playground for the second day running (and only the second time all year).

Roll on the holidays....

Ah now, not for me...

I have two finishing in 2weeks 5 days (thanks to school closing 6 days EARLY for building works, grr!!!)

One finishing 3 weeks 1 day (3 inset days at end of term)

And one finishing 23 July...

While we all need a break from routine, the early finish is causing me a bit of a headache vis a vis my work schedule!

It is amazing... my (nearly) 8 year old is always so tired by the end of term... she reverts on so many things...!

I'm not a watcher of the school calender but I know we are close to holidays by how she is reacting - and I always know the end of year by how much she has seemingly gone backwards in so many things.
